The Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Finance Top-up or Second Degree program includes 6 specialised modules and a Capstone Project.

Capstone Project for Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Finance:

Students apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired to develop a practical financial analysis and decision-making project, demonstrating competence in (1) preparing and analyzing financial reports, (2) planning and controlling budgets, (3) evaluating financial investments and risks, (4) managing costs and assessing operational efficiency, (5) complying with international accounting standards, and (6) applying technology in corporate accounting and finance. This is also the content integrated into the 6 core courses of the program.

Upon graduation, students will receive:

  • Level 6 Diploma in Accounting and Business from OTHM (UK government-recognized, equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in the UK ENIC/NARIC Band 9).
  • Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Finance from SIMI Swiss.
  • Applicants who have completed two years of a university bachelor’s program or hold a Level 4/5 Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Management, Banking, or related fields, seeking to complete a Top-up Bachelor’s degree.
  • Graduates of a Bachelor’s degree in a different discipline who wish to obtain a second degree to expand their knowledge and develop professional competencies in accounting, auditing, financial analysis, or corporate financial management.
  • Applicants without a College or Higher Education qualification, but with at least 5 years of professional experience in accounting, finance, auditing, or management, may apply through the APEL (Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning) process.
  • English proficiency must be at least at CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) level B2 or IELTS 5.5
